Nino Mier Gallery returns to Frieze Los Angeles with a presentation of works by Spanish painter Jorge Galindo and German sculptor Stefan Rinck. Galindo, one of Spain’s foremost contemporary artists, will exhibit oil paintings on paper alongside multimedia works on canvas that bring together the artist’s athletic, expressionistic brushwork and collaged vintage wallpaper. The flora in Galindo’s paintings oscillate between abstraction and representation with delicate verve. Rinck’s works imbue the booth with whimsy; the artist’s distinctively patterned and painstakingly chiseled motley crew of stone characters hail from a fantastic dreamworld and come together to populate a rock garden of earthly delights.
